Stirling University 2 Scotland 0

The SSFA Boys international squad took on the Under 20 students from Stirling University at the Gannochy Pavilion, Stirling yesterday in their final preparation game for the Centenary Shield

In a well contested game it was the students who came out on top, controlling much of the game and scoring twice to secure a 2-0 victory.

After an even first 15 minutes, Stirling scored from twenty yards out when they picked up a poor clearance and fired home. Beppe Giordmaina placed his shot well out of the reach of keeper Ethan Mitchell.

A number of substitutions were made during the half time interval ensuring game time for all the squad.

The new players and a rousing half time team talk brought about a more energetic and faster paced performance.

Scotland created a few chances with Nathan Cannon, in particular,  causing problems for the home defence.

Stirling University secured their win when Finlay Bainbridge fired a ball into the SSFA box. The ball evaded all the defenders and ended up in the net.

Scotland tried hard to get back in the game, but Stirling University remained in control.
