SSFA – New Mascot

During these difficult times, to encourage young people across Scotland to demonstrate their artistic design talents and capture their imagination, we recently organised a ‘Design Our Mascot’ competition.

The competition proved very popular, with entries flooding in from all areas of Scotland.

With entries from across the age groups from Primary to Secondary, the imagination and standard was extremely high and the judges faced a very difficult task in selecting our winners.

After much debate and careful consideration of not only the quality of the illustrations, but the thought and ideas behind appropriate Mascots for the Scottish Schools Football Association, the following winners were chosen.

1st Place – Scottie The Unicorn by Rachel Haggart of Crieff High School

Runner-up – Lucky The Rabbit by Abbie Digance of Crieff High School

Runner-up – Bounce by Lily-Lee Adams of Kittybrewster Primary School

Runner-up – Jock The Jaguar by Chloe Neale of Shawlands Academy

A massive congratulations and well done to our 4 winners, who will be presented with their prizes at a suitable venue, once all the lockdown restrictions are lifted.

Thank you to all participants for their efforts. I hope you enjoyed creating your mascots as much as we enjoyed seeing them.

Stay healthy and stay safe.
