As part of the 150th celebrations of our national game, the Scottish FA is pleased to invite clubs and schools to take part in the inaugural Week of Football.
The Week of Football is for everyone: showcasing the positive impact the game has on communities the length and breadth of the country.
From Sunday 28th May to Sunday 4th June, there will be a full programme of activity that will shine a light on the many ways in which the Power of Football inspires the nation.
The Scottish FA want everyone involved in football to take part: from youth clubs and school teams; professional clubs, individual freestylers and gamers; walking footballers, those inspired by Football Memories and those kicking a ball for the first time.
The Week of Football programme is outlined below in summary form and starts with The Big Kickabout – utilising the public holiday, in parts of the country, to encourage everyone to play football.
The Scottish FA encourage clubs and local authorities to throw open their doors or working partnership to let them play.
The Scottish FA will be travelling the country to highlight clubs, schools, bodies, volunteers, and fans who make football possible, sharing uplifting and unusual stories that encapsulate the Power of Football.
