With no schools’ football being played at present, here’s a look back at schools’ football in season 2005-2006.
Once again almost 1000 teams took part in our national 11 a side competitions.
I would like to thank all the clubs who provided excellent facilities for our showpiece games.
Mintlaw Academy won the Girls’ Senior Shield, beating St Augustine’s High 4-1 in the final at Tayport F.C.
Knightswood Secondary beat St Ninian’s High, Giffnock, on penalties, to lift the Senior Shield at Hampden Park.
Another penalty shoot-out in the Under 16 final saw Auchinleck Academy beat Lasswade High at Shotts Bon Accord F.C.
Mintlaw Academy won the Girls’ Under 15 Shield for the THIRD year running, beating Grange Academy in the final at McDiarmid Park.
Greenwood Academy beat St Andrew’s Secondary 4-3 in the Under 15 Shield final at Kilbirnie Ladeside F.C.
Peterhead Academy won the Under 14 Shield, beating St Aidan’s High 3-2 in the final at Carnoustie Panmure F.C.
Holyrood Secondary beat Banff Academy 3-1 in the Under 13 Shield final at Alloa Athletic F.C.
