Season 2004-2005

With no schools’ football being played at present, here’s a look back at schools’ football in season 2004-2005.

Season 2004-2005 provided the opportunity for more than 950 secondary teams to experience the enjoyment of competing in national competitions.

We enjoyed the support and co-operation of many clubs and organisations to stage our finals at Hampden Park, Alloa Athletic, Airdrie United, Hamilton Academical, Partick Thistle, St Johnstone, Forfar Athletic, Dundee United, Ross County and Dunbar United.

St Augustine’s High won the Girls’ Senior Shield for the third time in four years beating the Nicolson Institute 6-0 at Ross County.

Inverkeithing High beat Fraserburgh Academy, on penalties, to lift the Senior Shield at Hampden Park.

Bellahouston Academy beat Mussleburgh Grammar 2-1 at Firhill to lift the Under 16 Shield.

St Ambrose High won the Under 15 Shield, beating St Margaret’s High 1-0 at Airdrie United.

Mintlaw Academy beat Holyrood Secondary at McDiarmid Park to lift the Girls’ Under 15 Shield for the second year running.

In the Under 14 Shield Harris Academy beat St Ambrose High 7-2 at Dundee United to lift the trophy.

Craigmount High beat St Aidan’s High 1-0 at Alloa Athletic to become Under 13 Shield winners.
