The inter association Scottish Cup at senior level also gives selectors a number of opportunities to view schoolboy players who might represent the SSFA in the annual Centenary Shield competition in February, March and April 2023.

International Team Secretary, Les Donaldson, and a small team of selectors have travelled the length and breadth of the country to watch cup games and view the players on show.

Two area trials are in place with around 75 players to take part.

The first of these, the West Trial, takes place on Wednesday 30th November at New Western Park, Renfrew from 3.30 pm – 5.30pm,

The second trial, the East Trial is at Ochilview Park, Stenhousemuir on Tuesday 6th December also between 3.30pm and 5.30pm.

Those players who are successful in being selected will then return to Ochilview for the Final Trial which takes place on Thursday 15th December from 2.30pm – 5.30pm.
