Perth High School Win the Girls’ Under 15 Shield

Perth High School beat Lasswade High School 3-2 to lift the Girls’ Under 15 Shield for the second time yesterday afternoon at the Excelsior Stadium.

The final was the last game in the 2020 Girls’ Under 15 Shield. A competition that started in October 2019 and was suspended , at semi-final stage, in March 2020 due to the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.

In the semi-finals Perth High beat St John’s High 7-6 and Lasswade High beat Kilmarnock Academy 2.1

Perth High School’s path to the final:

  • 1st round – October 2019 – 9-1 win over Arbroath High School at home
  • 2nd round – November 2019 – 5-4 on penalties (after 3-3 at full time) win over Grove Academy at home
  • 3rd round – December 2019 – 5-4 win over the Nicolson Institute at home
  • 4th round – January 2020 – 9-4 win over Balfron high School at home
  • Semi-final – June 2021 – 7-6 win over St John’s High School at Lochee Harp, Dundee

Lasswade High School’s path to the final:

  • 1st round – October 2019 – 3-1 win over George Watson’s Collage away
  • 2nd round – November 2019 – 6-0 win over Preston Lodge High School at home
  • 3rd round – December 2019 – 5-0 win over Lochside Academy at home
  • 4th round – January 2020 – 4-3 win over Auchinleck Academy away
  • Semi-final – June 2021 – 2-1 win over Kilmarnock Academy at Renfrew F.C
