In season 2004-2005 the SFA assumed responsiblity for the Under 16s in the Victory Shield therefore from this season on we worked with two squads – under 18  boys and under 15 girls.

Our Under 18 international team disappointed in the centenary Shield, finishing in bottom position, but created history by becoming the first SSFA team to play in Canada.

Our Under 15 international team had mixed fortune at the Ballymena International Tournament, losing to the Republic of Ireland in the opening game, but beating Northern Ireland and Wales convincingly to finish runners-up.  When you look back at that squad you can see a significant number of future Scotland Women’s National Team  – Jennifer Beattie, Kim Little, Emma Mitchell, Christie Murray, Rachael Small and Lee Alexander.
