Girls International Squad 2018
Goalkeepers

Alicia Yates**
Dunfermline High School
This is the second year that Alicia has been a member of the SSFA squad that is playing in the Bob Docherty Tournament.
She has recently joined the Hibernian Ladies Development squad.
She represents the East regional team as well as playing for the SFA at U15 and U16 level.
Jenna Fife is her favourite player and she would like to follow her example and play for the full National team.

Gail Gilmour
Turriff Academy
Gail is a North of Scotland regional player who plays for the Deveronvale Girls team.
This Celtic supporting shot stopper enjoys watching Courtois of Chelsea. Andy Murray is her sporting hero and she would like to play football to the highest level possible or pursue a career in nursing when she completes her schooling.
Defenders

Robyn McCafferty
Woodmill High School
Robyn is the squad captain this year. She leads and plays by example.
A centre back who is very comfortable with the ball at her feet and enjoys starting attacks from her centre back berth.
This East regional and Hibernian Ladies player is a Dunfermline Athletic fan.
She would love to become a professional footballer when she completes her schooling.

Lynsey Baillie
Bo’ness Academy
Lynsey plays her football for the Central regional squad and for the team that she follows, Rangers FC.
This attacking left sided player enjoys the art of tackling as well as getting involved in the attacking areas of the pitch.
A Mesut Ozil fan she would like to play her football at the highest level possible in the future.

Paige McAllister
Bathgate Academy
Paige is a strong tackling ball playing centre back who enjoys starting attacks from her defensive third.
She plays her football for the team that she supports, Celtic FC.
A Sergio Ramos fan who would like to play her football professionally in the future or become a PE teacher when she finishes her schooling.

Jessica Broadrick
Portlethen Academy
Jessica is an athletic right sided player who loves to get forward and deliver telling crosses into the box.
She plays for and supports Aberdeen FC. Her favourite player in the American start Alex Morgan.
She would like to study sports science after her schooling. She is a keen distance runner who listens to her favourite singer Ed Sheeran in her spare time.

Jenna Penman
Aberdeen Grammar
This Westdyke Girls and North regional squad member is an Aberdeen fan.
Jenna reads the game from her favoured central defensive position.
She enjoys driving forward and taking the game to the oppositions.
Her sporting hero is the Ex- SSFA captain and Arsenal player Kim Little.
She would like to study for a career in medicine when she finishes her schooling.

Mirin Easdon
Glennifer High School
This attacking fullback is comfortable on both sides of the field.
A Real Madrid and Celtic fan who enjoys the attacking skills of the Madrid fullback Marcelo.
She is a West regional and Celtic player who would like to continue her footballing education to the highest level possible after she completes her schooling.
Midfielders

Kate Nicolson
Balfron High School
This midfield powerhouse relishes the central midfield competition.
Kate plays for the Central Football academy and is a Rangers fan.
She enjoys watching the skills of Lionel Messi and when she is not playing football she spends her spare time on the family farm.
She would like to play to the highest level possible when she finishes school.

Monica Forsyth
St. Ninian’s High Giffnock
Monica is a central midfield player who loves both the attacking and defensive aspects of this influential position.
A Glasgow City and St Cadoc’s Boys’ Club player who loves watching the prowess and skills of PSG’s Marco Verrati.
She would like to go to the US on a scholarship like many ex- SSFA before her after completing her studies.

Ellie-Jai Reid
St. Andrew’s High Kirkcaldy
Ellie – Jai is a Hibernian Ladies and East regional player who loves taking players on and either providing opportunities for others or getting on the score sheet herself.
A Celtic fan who’s sporting hero is Diego Maradona.
She would like to play football for as long as she can at the highest level possible when she leaves school.

Kirsty MacLean
Barrhead High School
Kirsty is a first year pupil who plays her football for the West regional squad and Rangers FC.
She loves getting on the ball and orchestrating the game around her.
She is a St Mirren supporter who enjoys watching the mesmerising skills of Lionel Messi.
She would like to play football at the very highest level possible when she finishes her schooling.

Rebecca McAllister**
Our Lady’s & St.Pat’s High
This is Rebecca’s second year with the SSFA squad and joins an elite group of players that includes her own footballing hers Kim Little.
She plays her football for the West regional squad and Celtic FC.
She has also represented the SFA U15 and U16 teams this year.
A combative and clever midfield player who would like to play professionally after she finishes her education.
Rebecca took over the captaincy of the squad for the Bob Docherty tournament.

Maria McAneny
St Andrew’s & St. Brides High
Maria is a very positive attacking left sided midfield player who plays her club football for Celtic FC.
She enjoys taking on her opposite number to provide goal scoring opportunities for her team mates.
She also likes to score goals by arriving into the box with well-timed runs.
She is a very good dead-ball specialist who wants to play at the highest level possible.

Olivia Potter
St Columba’s High Dunfermline
Olivia is another first year pupil in the squad this year.
She plays her club football for Celtic FC and the Central regional squad.
A very positive attacking midfield player who enjoys linking the play as well as getting on the scoresheet herself.
She is another Messi and Barcelona fan who would like to play to the highest level possible when she leaves school.
Forwards

Rosie McQuillan**
St Peter the Apostle HS
Another player who is returning to the SSFA squad for the second year.
She is a potent striker who enjoys seeing the ball hit the back of the net.
She plays for Rangers but supports the team from the other side of the city, Celtic.
Usain Bolt is her ultimate sporting hero and she would like to play football or indeed report on it as a journalist when she leaves school.

Eilidh Adams
George Heriot’s School
Eilidh is a striker who plays comfortably with her back to goal as well as attacking the opposition goal.
She loves to score goals for Hibernian FC as well as representing the South East squad.
Her footballing hero is the ex-SSFA Internationalist Lisa Evans.
She would like to play football to the highest level possible before a possible career in business.

Bayley Hutchison
Kemnay Academy
Bayley is a positive attacking striker who loves to score goals from all over the final third.
She plays her football for the Aberdeen Ladies and the North regional squad.
A Messi and Modric fan who would like to continue her footballing education at the highest level possible either in this country or in the United States in the future.
