Football is taking on Blood Cancer

September is both Blood Cancer and Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and we at the Scottish Schools’ FA are proud to be supporting the Cure Leukaemia Finish It Campaign to beat childhood Blood Cancer

Pictures above is the SSFA President Robert Allan, Liv a current patient at Glasgow Children’s Hospital and her dad Allan, SSFA Vice-President Gillian Duffy and SSFA International Teams Secretary Les Donaldson.

Worldwide someone is diagnosed with Blood Cancer every 21 seconds – That is 200 people per match!

Blood Cancer does not discriminate based on your age or the team you play for or support and every 14 minutes in the UK someone like Liv is given the news that they have Blood Cancer.

Cure Leukaemia is working with the football family to raise awareness and funding to one day hopefully end diagnosis like this.
