Braidhurst High School beat Wallace High School 6-4 at Dunipace Juniors on Monday to reach the final of the Girls' Under 15 Shield

Braidhurst could not have made a better start and were three goals up after only six minutes.

A penalty awarded in the first minute was converted by Olivia Wilson and Kate McDougall and Lacy McPherson added two quick fire goals.

Wallace recovered their composure and got back in the game in the 28th minute when Loren McDougall scored.

Olivia Gallagher scored for Braidhurst to restore their three goal lead but the battling Wallace side never gave up and Mia Mitchell and Eva Gardner scored to bring the game closer.

Mia Wallace and Niamh McCulloch scored to give Braidhurst some breathing space before Eva Gardner scored her second goal for Wallace to bring the final score to 6-4.

Braidhurst HS will contest the SSFA under 15 girls’ Shield final against St Ninian’s HS, Giffnock.

St Ninian’s reached the final with a convincing 3-1 win over Forfar Academy and Braidhurst have now joined them with a 6-4 win at Dunipace Juniors FC where they defeated Wallace HS, Stirling.
