Graham gets a new cap

Graham Meikle , Regional Manager with TVS Logistical Services Limited, got a replacement International Cap from SSFA’s Alex McMenemy this morning at Hampden Park.

Graham, who played in goal for Scottish Schools’ Under 15s, lost his original cap presented to him after beating England 2-0, Wales 3-0 and Northern Ireland 2-0 to lift the Victory Shield in 1970.

Graham remembers playing alongside Frank Gray who played with Leeds United before winning the European Cup with Nottingham Forrest and winning 32 caps for Scotland and Brian McLaughlin who moved onto a career with Celtic, Ayr United and Motherwell.

Graham contacted the SSFA a few months ago to enquire if he could get a replacement cap to show his grandchildren.

We were happy to oblige and today he was presented with a replacement cap to remind his of his time playing for the SSFA.
